About Fit India Movement
FIT INDIA Movement was launched on 29th August, 2019 by Honourable Prime Minister with a view to make fitness an integral part of our daily lives. The mission of the Movement is to bring about behavioural changes and move towards a more physically active lifestyle. Towards achieving this mission, Fit India proposes to undertake various initiatives and conduct events to achieve the following objectives:
  • To promote fitness as easy, fun and free.
  • To spread awareness on fitness and various physical activities that promote fitness through focused campaigns.
  • To encourage indigenous sports.
  • To make fitness reach every school, college/university, panchayat/village, etc.
  • To create a platform for citizens of India to share information, drive awareness and encourage sharing of personal fitness stories.

How to participate:

Step-1- On 2nd October 2021 - You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track as per your choice anytime.

Step-2: Upload the picture of the running / jogging / walking at the website www.basketballassociationkarnal.org before 11:00pm on 2nd October 2021.

Step-3: After successfully uploading the data you can download your participation e-certificate from the website within 7-10 days.

Objective of Run : Fit India Movement is conducting Fit India Freedom Run to encourage fitness and help us all to get freedom from obesity, laziness, stress, anxiety, diseases etc. “It can be run anywhere, anytime!”

Who Can Participate? - Anyone can participate (No age bar)

About Run - Participants may run their own route anytime, anywhere as per the suitable timings.

  • Participants may breakup their run as per their choice and capacity.

  • Participants may run their own race at their own pace.

  • Participants can run/walk.

Participant's safety and well - being is equally important to us, participants are requested to ensure all safety and social distancing norms.

How much Distance need to Run?- No limit

How to Track or Monitor total covered Distance? - Participants are expected to keep a record of their run/walk by using any GPS App or GPS Device/Watch.

Where can I run?- You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

Where can I send/submit the proof of my run? - Once you finish your run, you have to click a screenshot of the app you are using to calculate your distance. You need to submit this screenshot as a proof of distance you covered on the website at www.basketballassociationkarnal.org.

When you get E-Certificates?- From 22nd September onwards participants can be able to download their certificate from the website www.basketballassociationkarnal.org .
